Thailand

Hua Hin

Hua Hin combines a long sandy beach with markets, seafood and a gentler pace than many of Thailand's larger resorts. Its location south of Bangkok makes it an easy base for beach days, golf and nature excursions along the Gulf of Thailand.

A little more of the place

Find your rhythm in Hua Hin

Hua Hin suits a holiday with a little less logistics. A beach break by day and a market outing in the evening can be enough.

An experience worth making time for

Art, crafts and music

Cicada Market

An evening market with creative activities in the Khao Takiab area. Do not assume it runs every night; check opening days and the programme for your visit.

Somewhere to stop for food

Market food

Make the food stalls part of the same visit instead of adding another journey for dinner. Look around before choosing; this is a market, not a single restaurant.

Good to know

Small tips for an easier weekend

Plan transport from Bangkok

The journey takes several hours and travel time varies with traffic. Compare train, bus and private transport before departure.

Check market days

Cicada and Tamarind are primarily weekend markets, while the central night market is usually an option on more evenings.

Choose your base by pace

The centre is most convenient, while Khao Takiab and areas farther south are better for quieter beach days.
